No fees for Cherries

The Football League's latest figures show that Bournemouth spent just nothing on agents' fees for the second consecutive season. The newly-promoted League One club were one of 14 teams who did not fork out on agents between July 1 2009 and June 30 2010, while the spending of other League Two clubs totalled £366,781. The publication of Football League clubs' spending on agents' fees has revealed that money committed has increased in the last 12 months from £8.8million to £12.7million. Football League chairman Greg Clarke voiced his concern, saying: "Given the current economic climate, it is worrying to see such a significant amount leaking from the game. "This year`s figures demonstrate a considerable increase on those of last season and it is essential that clubs work to reduce this liability over the coming campaign."
