Molesley & Arter Contract Extensions
Mark Molesley and Harry Arter have both been given extensions to their current contracts. Even though he's been blighted with injury, Mark Molesley has been awarded a 12 month extension to his current contract. The same is true for Harry Arter. Both are now contracted until Summer 2013. Molesley, now nearing a return to first team action, and could have featured in the Cherries line up to face Walsall, but didn't, is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "The reserve game was another good exercise for me. I was a bit frustrated I had to come off but the idea was to have at least 75 minutes so I managed that. My foot has been fine and I haven’t thought about it during the two games. I feel at my most comfortable during the heat of battle and it tends to only really bother me when I’m walking around the house. Once I’m warmed up and training, I don’t feel it. I was hoping to get 90 minutes against Forest Green and feel a million dollars. But the rest of my body was always going to start feeling the effects of a match after 15 months out. I would like to get a few more games under my belt but am sure I could do a job on the bench, if called upon". On the contract extensions, manager Lee Bradbury is quoted as saying: "Mark has been a really good asset for the club over the years. He has had a terrible time with injury. I wanted to put his mind at rest. We want him at the club and want him to fulfil his potential here. It will give him a lift and it will be like having a new signing around the place. We see him as a good asset. He is a creative midfielder and he scores goals as well. He is always looking to thread little balls forward and is not scared to put his foot in either". On Arter: "He is quite young but the potential he has is massive. We just need to keep working on him. He is another who can play in the hole, central midfield or on the left or right, so he gives us options and we want to have quality in depth throughout the squad. We are working with Harry and I’m sure he will be a really big player for the club".
