Bournemouth goalscorer Steve Fletcher admitted to mixed feelings after his side exited the FA Cup following a 3-1 defeat at Notts County.
Goals from Krystian Pearce, Lee Hughes and an own goal from Warren Cummings put County in a commanding position at half-time before Fletcher came off the bench to net five minutes from time.
But the lateness of his introduction meant there was no time for the Cherries to launch a comeback, and he said: "I came on with a few minutes to go and got the goal.
"Goals change games and if I'd come on a couple of minutes before, you don't know what might have happened.
"We needed a goal in those first few minutes (of the second half). We were unbelievably good in the second half, and you couldn't have two more contrasting halves.
"Fine moments are so important because one mistake and you get punished. But that's the luck of the FA Cup."
