Mitchell Strikes Again

Cherries Chairman Eddie Mitchell makes his mark, this time on national radio.

Events on the pitch were overshaddowed with events off the pitch at Dean Court this afternoon.

It's not for the first time that Cherries Chairman Eddie Mitchell has scored a bit of an own goal when dealing with the fans, or the press.

This evening on BBC 5 Live's 606 programme, Eddie was interviewed in relation to the remarkable revelation that the wife of his co-owner, Maxim Denim, gave the half time team talk to the Cherries first team as they were 1-down to Franchise FC at the time.

Eddie Mitchell was heard swearing 3 times in a short space of time before being cut-off for his outburst.

Explaining the intervention at half time, Mitchell is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "She and her husband have put a lot of energy and a lot of money into the club through me and I believe that she is entitled to express her opinion. It was half-time and I think in the second half we did as well as we did in the first half, so it didn’t affect the game. I think the people that are putting money into football are entitled to their say. But we are 100 per cent behind the system we have got, the manager we have got and everybody else. But we watch it, we watch the game and we all feel frustrated".

Rumours that Dot Cotton will be doing the half time team talk next week against Charlton Athletic have yet to be confirmed!

As for people having their say given the money coming in to the Club ....... how about the fans being invited in to the changing rooms to have their say given the YEARS of dedicated support, time, money and effort we've ploughed in to the Club?
