Mitchell: Feelgood factor key for new Cherries signings

CHAIRMAN Eddie Mitchell is convinced the Dean Court feelgood factor helped persuade new recruits Steve Lovell, Marc Pugh and Michael Symes to join Cherries.[LNB] Mitchell insisted the Dorset outfit had not had to break the bank to sign the trio and said it had been a fairly easy task selling the club and its location to the players.[LNB] He told the Daily Echo: We believe we have signed some very good players and Eddie and Jason have done fantastically well to get them.[LNB] We have got these boys on pretty good terms and I think we have been able to do that because of the type of people Eddie and Jason are and through their achievements last season.[LNB] As a board, we have managed to create a feelgood factor around the club and I am as positive now as I have ever been since I have been here.[LNB] These players are joining a club with great leaders in Eddie and Jason and one in a lovely part of the world. That combination encouraged them to come to us on a reasonable wage.[LNB] The three signings were announced yesterday after the Football League had given Cherries the green light to add to their numbers. As a condition of coming out of administration in 2008, every new registration must be sanctioned by the league for a period of three years.[LNB] Mitchell added: The league turned over everything we gave them with regard to the way the football club is heading and they couldn't find any fault with it.[LNB] We are as legitimate now as any other club in the league.[LNB] We have set our sights on breaking another record and getting 3,000 season tickets sold by June 17. We are more than halfway there and, hopefully, this will go some way to encouraging people to get in early.[LNB]
