McQuoid loving life

Bournemouth striker Josh McQuoid has labelled the last seven days as "the best week of his life". McQuoid followed up a hat-trick in the FA Cup win over Tranmere with another three goals to defeat Walsall on Saturday and in the process earned a call-up to the Northern Ireland squad. The striker is delighted with his goalscoring form after previously failing to find the net since September 11. "It's been the best week in football terms and my life," he told the Cherries official website. "It has been a bit of a whirlwind week and to cap it off with another hat-trick is amazing. I didn't train all week as I had a niggle, and only went back on Friday, but luckily Steve Hard worked with me all week and thanks to his hard work, I got another hat-trick on Saturday. "I don't think it was the best game I've had, but it's a good sign when you're scoring when you're not playing well. It's a massive confidence boost, but this is a team game and without the assists, I would have got none."
