Here's out round up of the weekend action around League One. Franchise FC continue to lead the way as they managed to see off Carlisle United at Brunton Park. MacDonald gave the visitors the lead on the stroke of half time, with Bowditch extending the lead 2 minutes after the restart. Miller gave the Cumbrians hope in the 52nd minute before Lewington put the result beyond doubt in the 62nd minute. Carlisle United 9th, Franchise FC 1st. Sheffield United brushed Bury aside at Bramhall Lane with a comfortable 4-0 win. Goals from Porter (43rd min), Mendez-Laing (47th min), Lowton (71st min), and Tonne (84th min) was more than enough to collect the 3-points. Sheffield United 2nd, Bury 16th. Brentford maintained their push with a single goal win over Walsall at Bescot. Donaldson scored the only goal of the game in the 27th minute to secure 3-points. Walsall 14th, Brentford 4th. Hartlepool United have managed to sneak up in to the play-off places following a 2-0 win over Exeter City at Victoria Road. Liddle (5th min) and Luscombe (89th min) ensured that the Devon side had a long miserable journey home. Hartlepool United 6th, Exeter City 20th. Huddersfield Town are a whisker away from the play-off places following a 1-1 draw against Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park. Kuqi gave the Latics the lead in the 6th minute, with Kay levelling for the Terriers just 10 minutes later. Oldham Athletic 15th, Huddersfield Town 7th. Stevenage Borough proved to be too strong for Rochdale at Broadhall Lane as the home side ran away with a 4-2 win. Reid gave Borough the lead in the 13th minute, with Jones levelling in the 28th. Beardsley restored the advantage on the half-hour, completing a brace of strikes on the stroke of half time. Trotman put past his own keeper to give Borough a 4-1 lead in the 70th minute, leaving Ball to score a consolation a minute later. Stevenage Borough 10th, Rochdale 22nd. Notts County eventually made light work of AFC Bournemouth at Meadow Lane as the Magpies ran off with a 3-1 win over the Cherries. Lee Hughes gave the home side the lead in the 1st minute, but saw Pugh level in the 71st minute. Any thoughts of a Cherries draw, or win were snuffed out when Pearce (78th min) and Montano (85th min) made sure that the points stayed in the East Midlands. Notts County 11th, AFC Bournemouth 21st. Colchester United made heavy work of claiming a point against Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park. Grant gave the Iron the lead in the 38th minute, but then saw red 5 minutes later. ColU eventually made numeric advantage count with a Gillespie leveller in the 74th minute. Scunthorpe United 19th, Colchester United 13th. Leyton Orient finally got off the mark, but had to settle for a 0-0 draw against fellow strugglers Chesterfield at Brisbane Road. Leyton Orient 24th, Chesterfield 23rd. Tranmere Rovers (5th) could only manage a 0-0 draw against Yeovil Town (17th). Charlton Athletic (3rd) play Sheffield Wednesday (12th) on Monday evening (live on Sky Sports) while the game between Wycombe Wanderers (18th) and Preston North End (8th) was postponed until September 27th.
