Here's our round up of the weekend action around League One.

Tranmere Rovers move to top of the pile after they blew Colchester United away, 4-0, at Prenton Park. A hat-trick for Cassidy (40th, 49th and 77th minutes) plus a goal from Bakayogo (58th min) was more than enough to send the Wirral side to the top on goal difference. Tranmere Rovers 1st, Colchester United 20th.

Yeovil Town continued their impressive start to the new season with a 2-1 win over fancied Doncaster Rovers at Huish Park. Goals from Hayter (56th min) and Ugwu (84th min) only drew a consolation response from Paynter in the 94th minute. Yeovil Town 2nd, Doncaster Rovers 9th.

Notts County edged up to 3rd with a decent 2-0 win over Bury at Gigg Lane. Goals from Lee Hughes (2nd min) and Judge (91st min) sealed the points for the side from the East Midlands. Bury 22nd, Notts County 3rd.

Crawley Town also maintained their decent start to life in the third tier with a single goal victory over Leyton Orient at the Broadfield Stadium. Ajose scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute. Crawley Town 4th, Leyton Orient 23rd.

Sheffield United made heavy work of AFC Bournemouth in an 8-goal thriller at Bramhall Lane. Despite the Cherries taking the lead in the 20th minute through Elphick, the Yorkshire side hit back by half time with goals from Flynn (24th and 31st mins) and Cofie (43rd min). Barnard pulled reduced the arrears for the south coast side 4 minutes after the restart, only to see Cresswell restore the 2-goal advantage on the hour mark. Pugh gave Cherries hope of a come back in the 87th minute, but that was snuffed out when Blackman sealed the 5-3 win with a 93rd minute penalty. Sheffield United 5th, AFC Bournemouth 19th.

Stevenage Borough had to be content with a point against newly promoted Shrewsbury Town at Broadhall Way, but had to come from behind to do so. Parry have the Shrews a 5th minute lead, only for Charles to level in the 24th minute. Stevenage Borough 6th, Shrewsbury Town 13th.

Franchise FC managed to claim all 3-points, and kept all their players on the pitch. The win over Carlisle United at Stadium:Franchise came as Chadwick (12th min) and Lowe (65th min) scored the goals to claim the points. Franchise FC 7th, Carlisle United 17th.
