Here's our round up of the action around League One.

Tranmere Rovers lead the way at this early stage following a 2-0 win over much fancied Coventry City at Prenton Park. Cassidy (79th min) and Robinson (83rd min) finally put the game to bed for the side from the Wirral. The result leaves the Sky Blues in the bottom-4. Tranmere Rovers 1st, Coventry City 23rd.

Notts County had to settle for a share of the points in a lively match at Boundary Park against Oldham Athletic. It wasn't looking too good for County when they were reduced to 10-men mid way through the first half when Boucaud saw red, but would have been bouyed up by Labadie's opening goal just after the break. Derbyshire scored (49th min) against the Nottinghamshire side, leaving a late exchange between Campbell-Ryce (82nd min) and Baxter (85th min) to finish the scoring to leave both sides level at 2-2. Oldham Athletic 20th, Notts County 2nd.

Stevenage Borough had to come from behind to salvage a point against 10-man Crewe Alexandra at Broadhall Way. An early Leitch-Smith in the 6th and 8th minutes drew a first half response from Freeman in the 27th minute from the home side. Aneke then saw red for the Alex, leaving Shroot to level in the 81st minute. Stevenage Borough 3rd, Crewe Alexandra 14th.

Crawley Town bounced back after last weekends defeat with a decent 2-1 win over Preston North End at Deepdale. An Alexander brace in the 54th and 58th minutes set Town on their way before Huntington netted a consolation in the 91st minute. Preston North End 11th, Crawley Town 4th.

Walsall continue their uncharacteristically good start to the season with a decent 2-1 win over Portsmouth at Fratton Park. Baxendale gave teh Saddlers the lead in the 56th minute, which was added to by Cuvelier 7 minutes later. Pompey's consolation came through McLeod in the 69th minute. Portsmouth 17th, Walsall 5th.

Yeovil Town are slipping backwards at the moment following a 1-0 reverse at Stadium:Franchise against Franchise FC. The only goal of the game came in the 75th minute from MacDonald. Franchise FC 8th, Yeovil Town 6th.

Sheffield United and Bury cancelled each other out at Bramhall Lane following a 1-1 draw. Blackman gave the Blades the lead in the 10th minute, with Sweeney levelling in the 12th minute. Sheffield United 7th, Bury 22nd.

Doncaster Rovers got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over struggling Colchester United at their Community Stadium. Cotterill gave Rovers the lead in the 3rd minute, with Okuonghae levelling on the half hour, leaving Bond the embarrassment of an own goal in the 48th minute. Colchester United 24th, Doncaster Rovers 9th.

Leyton Orient and Brentford, unusually, played their London derby on Thursday at Brisbane Road, with the east Londoners winning by a single Brunt goal in the 75th minute. Leyton Orient 16th, Brentford 10th.

Carlisle United and Swindon Town had to settle for a 2-2 draw at Brunton Park. A brace from Jervis for the home side in the 14th and 30th minutes drew responses from Rooney (29th min) and Benson (32nd min). Carlisle United 13th, Swindon Town 12th.

AFC Bournemouth left it late to salvage a point against Hartlepool United at Dean Court after Walton gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute. Tubbs netted the equaliser in the 93rd minute. AFC Bournemouth 15th, Hartlepool United 18th.

Scunthorpe United finally managed to claim their first win of the season with a slender 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town at the New Meadow. Clarke scored the only goal of the game in the 5th minute. Shrewsbury Town 19th, Scunthorpe United 21st.
