Here's the round up of the mid-week action around League One. Brighton & Hove Albion continue to set the pace following a fine 3-0 win over Exeter City at Withdean. El-Abd opened the scoring in the 7th minute, which was followed with a brace from Barnes (30th min pen & 77th min) to seal the Seagulls' 10th win of the season. Brighton & Hove Albion 1st, Exeter City 16th. Huddersfield Town won local bragging rights in Yorkshire with a 2-0 win over neighbours Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. Carey (23rd min) and Pilkington (34th min) sealed the points. Sheffield Wednesday 10th, Huddersfield Town 2nd. Colchester United continued their fine run of form with a 3-2 win over Leyton Orient at their Community Stadium even though Revell gave the Londoners a 2-goal lead with strikes in the 10th and 18th minutes. The home side hit back through heath (22nd min), Mooney (32nd min pen) and Wilson (80th min) to keep up their push for promotion. Colchester United 3rd, Leyton Orient 19th. Peterborough United eased to 3-points against rock-bottom Walsall at Bescot with a 3-1 win. Bennett (15th min) and Davies (17th min) gave the Posh the advantage, with Gray pulling one back in the 53rd minute. The 2-goal advantage was restored 2 minutes later through Langmead. Walsall 24th, Peterborough United 4th. Charlton Athletic breezed past Swindon Town at The County Ground with a 3-0 win. Jackson (13th min), Anyinsah (51st min) and Benson (74th min) did what was necessary to make sure that the points were heading back to SE London. Swindon Town 17th, Charlton Athletic 5th. South Coast Club hit the play-off places for the first time this season as they brushed Dagenham & Redbridge aside with a 4-0 win at St Mary's. A brace from Oxlade-Chamberlain (11th and 37th mins) with strikes from Barnard (56th min) and Fonte (69th min) kept the points on the south coast. South Coast Club 6th, Dagenham & Redbridge 23rd. AFC Bournemouth had to settle for a point against Brentford at Griffin Park. Hollands gave the Cherries the lead in the 64th minute, with Grabban levelling from the penalty spot 4 minutes later. AFC Bournemouth 7th, Brentford 14th. Carlisle United returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers at Brunton Park. Berrett (42nd min) and Murphy (49th min) sealed the points for teh Cumbrians. Carlisle United 8th, Tranmere Rovers 21st. Franchise FC edged past Yeovil Town with a 3-2 win at Stadium:Franchise, but had to come from behind to do so after Bowditch gave the Somerset side the lead in the 19th minute. Lewington levelled in the 36th minute, with Johnson putting the home side ahead in the 50th minute. Virgo levelled matters in the 75th minute, only to see Leven score from the penalty spot 3 minutes from time to break Yeovil hearts. Franchise FC 9th, Yeovil Town 22nd. West Country bragging rights went to Plymouth Argyle following a 3-1 win over Bristol Rovers at Home Park. Parrett gave the home side the lead in the 64th minute, with Hoskins levelling for the Pirates 3 minutes later. A Wright-Phillips brace in the 77th and 90th minutes sealed the win. Plymouth Argyle 15th, Bristol Rovers 13th. The games involving Rochdale (13th) and Oldham Athletic (11th), and Hartlepool United (18th) and Notts County (20th) were both abandoned due to poor weather.
