League One Review - Dec 28th

28 December 2010 18:07
Here's our round up of the League One action, even though badly hit by the weather again. With a mass of postponements elsewhere (again), the game of the day came at St Mary's where South Coast Club ran off with a comfortable 4-1 against fellow play-off contenders Huddersfield Town. Even though Novak gave Huddersfield Town the lead, the home side more than hit back with goals from Lambert (28th min), Oxlade-Chamberlain (32nd min), Jaidi (51st min), Chaplow (72nd min) to secure 3-points. South Coast Club 5th, Huddersfield Town 3rd. AFC Bournemouth slipped to their 3rd defeat on the spin as Franchise FC claimed a 2-0 win at Stadium:Franchise. Guy (6th min) and Doumbe (86th min) did enough to claim the points. Franchise FC 12th, AFC Bournemouth 6th. Peterborough United will be in trouble with the Football League/The FA having turned up late at the County Ground to face Swindon Town. Tomlin gave Posh the lead in the 17th minute, only to see Austin level from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute. Swindon Town 16th, Peterborough United 8th. Plymouth Argyle shared the points against Notts County at Home Park following a 1-1 draw. Zubar gave Argyle in the 4th minute, with Hughes levelling 3 minutes later. Plymouth Argyle 15th, Notts County 18th. All of the other matches involving League One sides were called off due to the weather across the county.
