Here's our round up of the action around League One following this weeks midweek action.

Surprise leaders at this early stage are Tranmere Rovers are out on top on goal difference following an emphatic 3-0 win over Carlisle United at Brunton Park. A hat trick from Robinson in the 12th, 19th and 66th minutes put the result beyond doubt. Carlisle United 21st, Tranmere Rovers 1st.

Doncaster Rovers had to come from behind to claim victory over Bury at the Keepmoat after Skarz gave the Shakers the lead in the 5th minute. Bennett levelled in the 36th minute, with Brown netting the winner with 6 minutes left on the clock. Doncaster Rovers 2nd, Bury 16th.

Notts County make up the trio of clubs with maximum points after 2 matches following a 2-0 win over Hartlepool United at Meadow Lane. Goals from Zoko (17th min) and Bishop (86th min) sealed the win. Notts County 3rd, Hartlepool United 20th.

A battle of the new-boys came at the County Ground as Swindon Town saw off Crawley Town with a convoncing 3-0 win. Ritchie got the Robbins off the mark with a 25th minute strike, which was followed up with goals from Miller (44th min) and De Vita (63rd min). Swindon Town 4th, Crawley Town 9th.

Yeovil Town recorded their first win of the season with a fine 3-1 victory over Brentford at Griffin Park. Hayter got the Glovers off the mark with a 23rd minute strike, which was cancelled out by Donaldson in the 55th minute. Hayter struck again in the 80th minute, leaving Craig the embarrassment of an own goal to round off a miserable night for the Bees. Brentford 18th, Yeovil Town 5th.

Ten-man Franchise FC managed to escape Dean Court with a point against AFC Bournemouth. The Cherries took the lead in the 17th minute through Grabban. The visitors then saw Smith sent off two minutes. The 10-men gabbed an equaliser through Powell in the 62nd minute. AFC Bournemouth 13th, Franchise FC 6th.

Coventry City and Sheffield United cancelled themselves out at the Ricoh Arena as they played out a 1-1 draw. City took the lead in the 62nd minute through Elliott, with Blackman levelling 6 minutes from time for the Blades. Coventry City 15th, Sheffield United 7th.

Stevenage Borough got off the mark with a 1-0 away win over Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road as Akins scored the only goal of the game in the 23rd minute. Leyton Orient 23rd, Stevenage Borough 8th.

Crewe Alexandra recorded their first win of the season following a 2-1 win over Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park. Leitch-Smith gave Alex a great start in the 1st minute, with Grella levelling in the 15th minute. Murphy popped up with a 73rd minute winner. Scunthorpe United 24th, Crewe Alexandra 10th.

Shrewsbury Town recorded their first win back in the 3rd tier with a single goal victory over Preston North End at the New Meadow. Parry scored the only goal as early as the 4th minute to seal the win. Shrewsbury Town 11th, Preston North End 17th.

Colchester United and Portsmouth had to be content with a draw (2-2) at Col U's Community Stadium. Rodgers gave Pompey the lead ojn the half hour, but both sides went in level after Rose levelled on the stroke of half time. Okuonghae gave the Essex side the lead in the 83rd minute, leaving Obita to level with 4 minutes left on the clock. Colchester United 14th, Portsmouth 12th.

Oldham Athletic and Walsall played out a 1-1 draw at Boundary Park as M'changama gave the Latics a 36th minute lead, which was cancelled out by Bowerman in the 79th minute. Oldham Athletic 19th, Walsall 22nd.
