Here's our review of the weekend action around League One.

Charlton Athletic extended their lead at the top of League One to a healthy 10-points with a 2-0 win over Stevenage Borough. Morrison (49th min), and Wright-Phillips (64th min) scored the goals to claim the points. Charlton Athletic 1st, Stevenage Borough 7th.

Huddersfield Town closed the gap at the top with a 2-0 win over Exeter City with McCombe and Rhodes scoring the goals in the 40th and 85th minutes. Huddersfield Town 3rd, Exeter City 19th.

Franchise FC kept pace with the Terriers with an uninspiring 1-0 win over AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court. Doumbe scored the only goal of the game in the 32nd minute. The defeat is the Cherries 3rd straight defeat, and leaves their play-off ambitions dented yet further. AFC Bournemouth 10th, Franchise FC 4th.

Carlisle United left it very late to claim a 3-vital points over Yeovil Town to claim a play-off spot. Miller gave the Addicks the lead in the 34th minute from the penalty spot, with Obika levelling just after 46 minutes. Madden restored the home sides advantage 3 minutes later, with Blizzard levelling in the 82nd minute. Just when it looked as if the Glovers were going to claim a point Zoko popped up with a 93rd minute winner. Carlisle United 6th, Yeovil Town 18th.

Notts County managed to claim a single goal victory over struggling Chesterfield at Meadow Lane. Forte scored the winner with 10 minutes to go. Notts County 8th, Chesterfield 24th.

Wycombe Wanderers gave themselves a major confidence boost with a convincing 5-0 win over Hartlepool United at Adams Park. Goals from Hayes (5th & 55th mins), Doherty (11th min), and Beavon (42nd & 71st mins) blew Pool away. Wycombe Wanderers 22nd, Hartlepool United 11st.

Bury and Leyton Orient shared the points at Gigg Lane with a 1-1 draw. Spring gave the Latics the lead in the 27th minute, with Elford-Alliyu levelling for the home side in the 68th minute. Bury 14th, Leyton Orient 15th.

Oldham Athletic sneaked a 1-0 win over Tranmere Rovers at Boundary Park. Kuqi scored the only goal of the game in the 48th minute. Oldham Athletic 16th, Tranmere Rovers 17th.

Of the other games played in League One, Scunthorpe United (21st) and Brentford (9th), Colchester United (12th) and Rochdale (23rd) and Preston North End (13th) and Walsall (20th) all finished 0-0.

Sheffield Wednesday (5th) and Sheffield United (2nd) face each other at Hillsborough on Sunday.
