Lallana: Boss Bradbury will pick Cherries up

ADAM Lallana helped Southampton claim a huge psychological boost over Cherries and then tipped the Dorset club to bounce back.

Lallana, who still lives in Bournemouth having started his career as a schoolboy at Dean Court, was Saints' star turn during their 3-1 victory on Saturday.

Goals from Lee Barnard, Dean Hammond and Rickie Lambert saw Saints leapfrog Cherries in the League One table, with Lauri Dalla Valle opening the scoring for the hosts.

Lallana said: It is a big derby and it means a lot to the fans so to come out on top was massive. There was an extra edge to the game for me because I live in the area and I had a lot of family and friends here. These are the games you want to play in as a footballer.

We defended and attacked when we had to and dug in at the end after we had gone down to 10 men.

Bournemouth are in a winning habit and have continued on from last season when they got promotion.

They are a tight unit, they are doing well and I hope they continue to do well.

It is not the first time they have had back-to-back defeats and I am sure Lee will pick them up and they will go again on Saturday.
