The Cherries are currently in talks with the Football League about lifting the ban and Broadhurst is eager to sign on the dotted line after spending pre-season training with the club. The 29-year-old defender spent nine years with Bournemouth between 1998 and 2007 before a spell with Hereford. "I love the club and this will always be a special place to me. If an opportunity arises here, then great," Broadhurst told BBC Radio Solent. "I don't feel I have to prove myself to (manager) Eddie (Howe), because he knows exactly what I'm about. I'll always give 100% to the cause. "There's a great set-up at this club and there's a really positive feeling about the place."
