The relegation issues at the foot of the Premiership are coming together as the first two to come down are confirmed.

It comes as no surprise that after torrid seasons that Reading (20th) and Queens Park Rangers (19th) were both relegated from the Premiership as the two both came face to face at the Madeski Stadium. The two fought out a dull 0-0 draw to confirm the drop for both.

AFC Bournemouth will be facing QPR for the the first time in 9 seasons when QPR were down in the third tier back in the 2003/04 season.

Meanwhile, the relegation of Reading will see the two lock horns for the first time since the 2001/02 season, and will see the 103rd meeting between the two sides who were regular opponents until recent years when the Cherries slipped down and Reading heading upwards.
