More of the promotion/relegation issues are starting to sort themselves out with the final few matches upon us. Coming down from the Championship, after a brave fight to avoid the drop are Preston North End. Their drop to League One wa confirmed following a 1-0 defeat at home against Cardiff City at Deepdale. Whittingham scored the only goal of the game in the 6th minute to condemn PNE to life in the 3rd tier. Following in the footsteps of Chesterfield from League Two are Bury, who confirmed their step up following a 3-2 away win over Chesterfield at the B2Net stadium. Lees gave Bury the lead in the 12th minute, with Davies levelling 5 minutes in to the 2nd half. Worrall restored the advantage 5 minutes later, with Lester levelling in the 63rd minute. The win was confirmed when Lowe scored the winner with 3 minutes to spare.
