The injury jinx has hit Dean Court as a number of key players see their pre-season preparations hampered. Just when things were looking good, a spate of injuries has his key members of the Cherries first team squad. Being kept out through injury are: Danny Hollands - double hernia requiring surgery which could keep out for 4 weeks. Michael Symes - groin injury sustained on Saturday against Fulham, which could also keep him out for 4 weeks. Steve Fletcher - heel injury Danny Ings - abdominal injury In the spate of injuries, manager Eddie Howe is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We have lost a few players and this is the big worry for us. It is pretty bleak at the moment so let’s hope it doesn’t get any worse. These are big blows for us and we are looking really light on numbers at the moment. It is even more frustrating because all the injuries have been picked up in games so there isn’t a lot we can do to adjust our training. It is always the worry with pre-season – you need to get people fit and you need to keep as many as possible fit. We have been unfortunate in the past few days".
