Danny Ings has been spurred on to prove his critics wrong. Having recveived a barrage of criticism in recent weeks, 18 year old Danny Ings stuck to his task on Saturday by scoring the Cherries 2nd goal to clinch victoty over Notts County at the weekend. Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, Ings was quoted as saying: "Although we had been on a bad run, we started the game with a lot of confidence, stuck together and pulled through to get a positive result. Personally, I had tried not to let the run affect me but, as a striker, I knew I had played a big part in it. It was a great feeling to score. I have had a lot of criticism so it was good to get on the scoresheet. There has been a lot of pressure on me but I think I have taken it in my stride. The fact I got a lot of criticism has really pushed me to try to be successful. It is not as if I am trying to prove people wrong, I just want to show them I can score goals. Our supporters are very passionate. You win games and they are all on your side and, when things don’t go your way, they get on your back and try to force things out of you".
