Howe urges Bournemouth caution

A wave of optimism has swept through Dean Court this summer following a takeover by the Murry Group and some promising pre-season performances. But with Howe's hands still tied by a transfer embargo, the league's youngest manager is not getting carried away. "We believe in ourselves but the players are realistic and we are all level-headed enough to know there is still a long way to go," he told the Bournemouth Echo. "Everyone needs to be realistic because the squad is wafer thin. The bench against Fulham (on Tuesday) included only three or four players that we can use against Bury (on the opening day). "There are areas of concern and we have a few injuries at the moment so we need to be cautious. We need cover in certain positions because you can't go into a season with just one player in every position. We're keeping our feet firmly on the floor."
