Howe: Tie could have been off earlier

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe felt sorry for the fans after the late postponement of the FA Cup clash with Notts County. The game at Meadow Lane was deemed un-playable just hours before kick-off and Howe was disappointed with the timing of the decision after so many Cherries fans had made the long journey to Nottingham. "I am so disappointed for the supporters who spent a lot of time and money to get to Meadow Lane," he told the club's official website. "It was a big let down for the players too as they were all really looking forward to the game. "As soon as we saw the pitch, there was little chance the game could have been played and it should have been called off earlier to prevent people from travelling."
