Howe happy despite Spurs reverse
Goals from Robbie Keane, Jermain Defoe and Wilson Palacios gave Harry Redknapp's side a comfortable win, but Howe was pleased with the workout in front of 9,000 home fans.
"I think that when you play against a team like that, it's always going to be a good test," Howe told the club's official website.
"It was great for our players to experience a game like that and we got a lot out of it in relation to the League programme, so it certainly helped our preparations."
