Howe hails Cherries' winter work

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insists his players well prepared for the upcoming Christmas period despite having their last three games postponed. Freezing weather conditions have put paid to the Cherries' fixtures since November 23, but the squad have only missed one training session. Howe told the club's official website: "In some ways it's good to give the players a break, but they are desperate to get out and play. Hopefully we are over the worst of the weather now and we can look forward to the weekend. "Apart from the Premier League lads who can go in their domes, this has affected everyone and for the rest of us it has been pretty difficult, but the lads' attitude has been superb. "We have not been able to train on grass, but we have had some excellent sessions on Astroturf and what has delighted me is the attitude of the players. They are all looking fit and ready and are looking forward to the game on Saturday. "Looking at the forecast, it looks as if we can get back to normal this week and by Saturday it should be good conditions for the game and it's one we are all looking forward to."
