Bournemouth`s Eddie Howe is favourite to land the vacant managerial role at Crystal Palace with the Championship club hoping to appoint a new boss next week. Eagles chairman Steve Parish has already interviewed a number of candidates to replace George Burley, who was axed last weekend, but 33-year-old Howe is understood to be his first choice. "The interviews have been productive and we are moving closer to appointing a new boss," said Parish. "We have contacted one club to get permission to speak to their manager and everything has been conducted in the right way. "I would also like to stress that no-one has yet been selected for the job."
