Howe defends lacklustre Pitman

Pitman is the Cherries' leading scorer this season with 11 goals in 32 League Two games but he came under fire from a section of fans after failing to find the net against the Magpies. However, Howe told BBC Radio Solent: "Brett didn't actually play that badly but his body language wasn't the best and the fans picked up on that. Not many players have that characteristic. "I haven't had a problem with his performances. I think he's done ever so well since I came in and I'm looking for him to kick on again and continue to play well."
