Howe: Cherries will keep battling

The cash-strapped Cherries picked only four subs, including schoolboy Jayden Stockley, and they paid the price for missed first-half chances when Terry Dunfield fired home from 15 yards four minutes into the second half to celebrate his recall to the side in fine style.[LNB]Howe said: "We had 11 outfield professionals left (against Shrewsbury). We had a bench of a youth player, the assistant manager, one full-time pro and then Jayden who turned up at 3.30.[LNB]"We tried to get an emergency loan player in on Saturday morning but the Football League wanted a doctor's note which was impossible in the time especially when you're away from home.[LNB]"You don't leave your captain out when he's played in every game unless he's injured. You do get frustrated time and again and it's ridiculous.[LNB]"So with players playing out of position I couldn't have asked for more. Time and again these players have battled against the odds and continue to do so. In the first half I thought we did well and could have scored two or three."[LNB][LNB]
