Hollands fights for owed money
The 23-year-old could leave on a free transfer if 50% of his May wages, which he should have received on Friday, are not paid by June 12.
But the former Chelsea man is hopeful the situation can be resolved as he does not want to leave the club.
"I have put in my notice but it wasn't for the want of wanting to leave," he told the Bournemouth Echo. "It was more the fact that the decision was put on me because I haven't got any money and I haven't been paid. We have received the final 40% of last month's wages so I've got that now, but I'd already put the 14-day notice in so the club have got until June 12.
"I hope it doesn't come to that (leaving) because I want to stay. I feel next season will be good for all of us. I feel it's the strongest squad we've had and that we can do well but it's a decision put upon me.
Manager Eddie Howe is hopeful that he can retain one of his prized assets and added: "I desperately don't want to lose Danny and hope the situation can be resolved before that happens. He's going to be a pivotal player next season."
