Here We Go - Injuries Abound!

We might have a larger squad than many, but the usual crop of injuries is growing.

A ball has yet to be kicked in anger, and yet the Cherries have a string of injuries to contend with already.

The latest to be ruled out of the start of the new season, or highly unlikely to feature are new signings Josh McQuoid, Steve Fletcher and Frank Demouge.

McQuoid is unlikely to feature at the start of the new season having damaged an ankle in the friendly against Basingstoke, with boss Paul Groves being quoted as saying in the Bournemouth Evening Echo: "Although Josh has improved quite considerably over the past couple of days, he is still not walking pain free. He is able to come out of his air-cast boot for longer periods but it will be down to how quickly he heals over the next few days. We have been assured that once he is able to put weight through it, then he will be up and running. We will just have to wait and see what happens".

Demouge is expected to be out for at least 4 weeks having picked up a knee injury, with big Fletch having suffered a dead leg.
