Premier-league bound Bournemouth have allowed seven players to leave the club including left-back Ian Harte.

The experienced former Republic of Ireland defender, the only squad regular of the seven this season, joins Josh McQuoid, Benji Buchel, Joe Partington, Mohamed Coulibaly and Miles Addison in departing after their contracts expired.

Goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan meanwhile has opted to end his stay at the Goldsands Stadium and will leave in search of first-team football.

"It's always difficult when you have to make decisions about players' futures, especially when they have done so well for us over a long period of time," boss Eddie Howe told the club's official website.

"This is the heartbreaking part of the job because we are losing some very good people and some fantastic characters."
