Hands Off Warning

Eddie Mitchell has issued a stern 'hands off' to new Burnley manager Eddie Howe should he want to poach from Dean Court. With player sales being rumoured and speculated upon, Eddie Mitchell has issued a stern 'hands off' warning, being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "I’m not going to accept any bids for the players. I want this club to succeed and, to me, succeeding is staying in this division and I’m not going to risk that for anything. That has got to be our main objective and anything over and above it would be a bonus. I would love to give the supporters a bonus but we have got to work hard to try to get it. We don’t need the cash at the moment and want to build on what we have got. That must show the strength of the cash flow at the club to a degree. Nobody else is leaving before the end of the season. End of story. We have got a winning team and a fantastic team and I am not going to start stripping that because I want us to carry on Eddie’s good work. As far as I am concerned, these boys are staying until the end of the season and I will do my utmost to keep them beyond that".
