Grand gesture shows a whole lot of Love-ll at Dean Court
Bournemouth striker Steve Lovell has offered to take a pay cut as he attempts to get back to full fitness.
The 29-year-old, who signed a one-year deal at Dean Court last month, suffered a setback in his recovery from routine ankle surgery back in April and went back under the knife last week.
"Steve came to us and said he didn't want paying his full salary until he was fit and able to play," Cherries boss Eddie Howe told The Echo.
"It's a great gesture and very rare in the modern game that you would get it.
"He has had to have another operation and we are hopeful he will be back in around six weeks."
