FOCUSED Ryan Garry has backed the quality of Cherries' squad and insisted talk of the transfer embargo is off the agenda for the club's players.[LNB] The long-running ban on new signings was thrust back in the news after Cherries launched an early season ticket sales drive in a bid to raise funds towards clearing the embargo.[LNB] Chairman Eddie Mitchell last week revealed the club's latest attempt to recruit a loan player had been blocked by the Football League.[LNB] That leaves Cherries' current crop of players to continue their fight for League Two promotion without the luxury of reinforcements.[LNB] When asked by the Daily Echo to provide a player's perspective on the transfer block, Garry said: The embargo has been in place for nearly a year now and, as a player, all you can do is train well and play well.[LNB] We concentrate on on-the-field things and we don't really know too much about the embargo. The people upstairs at the club would know more about it.[LNB] It's nothing that we can really preoccupy our minds with because we don't know the ins and outs of it.[LNB] We've got good quality in our squad and we've had to use the whole squad this year because our numbers aren't as high as some other teams.[LNB] I'm sure Eddie would like a few more numbers because that would make his job easier as a manager and also bring more competition.[LNB] But I think we've got a good squad. It's just that when you get a few injuries it does stretch you.[LNB] And that's something we've got used to and we've just got to get on with. The embargo is out of our hands so there's no point in thinking about it.[LNB] Meanwhile, Cherries' reserves are set to travel to face their Exeter City counterparts this afternoon (2pm).[LNB] ¢ Those wishing to take advantage of the early season ticket sale can buy their ticket at its current price until February 14, upon which time the price will increase, the amount dependent on whether Cherries earn promotion this season. For further information call the club on 01202 726338.[LNB] ¢ Cherries fans wishing to go to Saturday's game at Aldershot should buy tickets in advance from the Dean Court club shop.[LNB]
