FORMER Cherries boss Jimmy Quinn was set to be unveiled as the new manager of Wey-mouth last night, the Echo understands.[LNB] Terras chairman George Rolls, who worked with Quinn at Cambridge, was close to agreeing a deal with the 50-year-old, following the controversial sacking of Ian Hutchinson on Sunday.[LNB] However, Quinn was unable to get to the Wessex Stadium for a press conference last night and no longer appears to be Rolls's first choice for the job.[LNB] The Terras chairman said: I don't believe Jimmy Quinn will be the next manager of Weymouth at this time.[LNB] Rolls had earlier told supporters he had withdrawn an offer for a manager believed to be Quinn who still wanted the job but couldn't get to the Wessex Stadium until tomorrow.[LNB] Quinn said car trouble had prevented him from making the proposed Press conference yesterday.[LNB] The two spoke on Monday about their plans for Weymouth and had ambitions to repeat the success Quinn enjoyed at Cambridge, a stint that saw him take United to the Blue Square Premier play-off final in 2008 while Rolls was a member of the U's board.[LNB]
