Fletcher: Danny's performance was up there with best I've seen

STEVE Fletcher described the match-winning display of Danny Hollands as absolutely outstanding as Cherries secured an excellent victory over Notts County last night.[LNB] Hollands, on the back of a double at Rotherham a week ago, produced an exceptional all-round performance to inspire Cherries to a deserved 2-1 success over their promotion rivals.[LNB] The central midfielder struck twice before the break as Eddie Howe's men came flying out of the traps at Dean Court to ensure they moved to within three points of leaders Rochdale.[LNB] Neal Bishop pulled a goal back but, thanks to a gritty second-half showing, Cherries held on the claim their first home win of 2010, much to the delight of a vocal Dean Court crowd.[LNB] Fletcher, who again defied his years to lead the line with gusto, was understandably pleased and impressed by the performance of Hollands.[LNB] He told the Echo: I thought he was unbelievable he could have had four goals in the first 20 minutes![LNB] He was gambling in the box and it paid off for him. But not just that, it was his closing down and his work rate he intercepted a lot of their balls and broke up play.[LNB] He was absolutely outstanding and it was probably one of the best performances I'd seen from a Bournemouth player for a few years, especially in the first half.[LNB] The 37-year-old added: I thought the boys were excellent. In the first half, it was probably the best we had played for as long as I can remember.[LNB]
