Fletcher: Cherries pulling together

14 September 2009 17:01
The Cherries have defied a transfer embargo to cement themselves at the summit after seven games of the season and Fletcher is confident they can keep their run going. The 37-year-old has made over 500 appearances for the club and believes his experiences of dealing with negative situations is proving invaluable to the Dean Court outfit. "There might be a bit bigger expectation around our performances now we are top. We just have to keep on doing what we can do with a small squad," he told Bournemouth's official website. "We are still under an embargo but we can do nothing about it. If we win, lose or draw there is no whining about the situation the club is in. "It's there, you have to accept it and you do one of two things; you have a negative reaction or you just get on with it and group together. No matter what job you're in, you pull together and get on with things."
