Fletcher: Cherries are on the up

The Cherries, joint top of the table with managerless Rotherham, have won five of their opening six matches. And Fletcher, who scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 2-1 win against Torquay, believes Eddie Howe's squad are heading in the right direction. "We probably weren't at our best (against Torquay) but it's the sign of a good team if you can grind out a result when you aren't firing on all cylinders," he told the Bournemouth Daily Echo. "If we're going to have any chance of winning promotion this season, we're going to have to do that again because we probably won't play well every week. "I still don't think we've played anywhere near our full potential yet but we were resolute and strong when we needed to be."
