Five Subs For League Matches Upsets Bradders
Manager Lee Bradbury isn't happy at the Football League's return to naming 5 substitutes for League matches. At the recent EGM of the Football League, clubs voted in favour of returning to naming just 5 substitutes for League and JPT matches for the new season. In the Carling and FA Cups, 7 can still be named. Manager Lee Bradbury isn't happy with the rule change, being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echoas saying: "I would prefer to have kept it at seven because I think we have got good strength in depth and it would have given me more options on the day. With one of the five almost always being a goalkeeper, it is really only four so it will just mean another two players being left out of the squad. I know it is the same for everybody but I would rather things had remained as they were. There will be a lot more movement in the loan market because players are going to be unhappy at not being involved. It is only natural for everybody to want to play. If I think somebody needs to get games under their belt, then they will go out on loan. It will probably be the same throughout the country".
