FA Cup Reaction - Cherries

13 November 2011 15:38
Here's the post match reaction from the Cherries camp having seen a 3-1 lead slip away, and be forced in to a replay.

Manager Lee Bradbury was left frustrated and disappointed at the result on Saturday, being quoted as saying: "It's so frustrating and we should have won, it's as simple as that. We were 3-1 up, and playing some really good football and if anything I thought we'd go on and get another couple of goals. We have to see games out better, we have to be more responsible as a group and do the right things. If we did that, we would be in the next round now. We have made mistakes in the last week, and how we react to them is the making of you as a team and individually. It seems to be one blow after another, but you look at our recent record and it's one defeat in five which is quite good. It doesn't feel like that at the moment though. We were beaten convincingly at Brentford and I can't even say the scoreline and today when we should have won, we drew and it feels like a loss. We did have a positive reaction from Tuesday with the way we played and performed for the majority of the game. In spells we played some good football and made some good chances. We had 24 shots to their seven, so the facts are there to, but we have to take our chances and defend better. We played with confidence and we will have to play with confidence in the replay. It won't be easy as Gillingham is always a hard place to go to, but we will do everything we can to get in to the next round".
