FA Cup Reaction - Cherries II

23 November 2011 15:55
Here's further post-match reaction following defeat in Kent.

Late-late goal scorer, Harry Arter, was quoted on the Clubs Official Web Site as saying on the defeat in Kent: "It was hard to be pleased with the goal because we were so disappointed. We should be going out and winning games like that and we should have been more professional in the first half. We weren't good enough in the opening 45 minutes and we were punished for that. I can't put my finger on what happened. We got the equaliser and all the lads fancied that we could go on and win the game then and it's hard to understand where it went wrong. It's a shattering blow because in two weeks, we have gone out of two cups. League form is really good and we are all pleased with that, but we are bitterly disappointed that cup football is over for us this season. We'll have plenty of time to think about it with a two week break from games, but I know we will be worked hard for that period and there won't be any rest. We have to lift ourselves now to face an Oldham team who are in good form and will be confident after scoring five last weekend. We have to pick ourselves up and draw confidence on the league form. We all know the league is the most important thing and we want to do well in that, but nothing can take away from the disappointment of going out of the FA Cup".
