Manager Eddie Howe sings the virtues of Tommy Elphick returning to the first team.

With Tommy Elphick returning to the first team, albeit on the bench at Oldham at the weekend, manager Eddie Howe has a timely boost as the end of season run-in gathers pace.

The Cherries boss is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying about his skipper: "During the week, Tommy was probably slightly ahead of Charlie but due to our need to play Charlie, he did. We haven’t got that pressure on us with the two centre halves doing so well at the moment. But it is great to have Tommy back because he is the leader and the voice of the team".
