Duo could make Cherries squad

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe hopes Joe Partington and Shaun Cooper can recover from minor injuries to feature in the Boxing Day clash with Plymouth. Defender Partington suffered a small knock in training, though he is expected to bounce back, while it is also hoped midfielder Cooper can overcome a groin strain. The Cherries have been boosted by the news that on-loan striker Nicholas Bignall has agreed to stay another month at Dean Court and will be available to start. Shwan Jalal is making a swift recovery from a fractured eye socket and has returned to first-team training but the game against the Pilgrims is expected to come too early for the goalkeeper. Defender Ryan Garry is set to miss the entire festive period as a shin injury will keep him out for around four weeks.
