Double Hernia Op For Hollands

Danny Hollands is facing surgery to rectify a double hernia. For the third pre-season running, Danny Hollands, is going to have to sit out the final few weeks in the run up to the new season having been diagnosed with a double hernia. Speaking in the Bournemouth Evening Echo, the midfielder is quoted as saying: "Hopefully, I will be able to have the operation some time this week but it is a waiting game for me. I’m trying to go back to Germany where I have been before. I know the lady who carries out the operations and she is very good. It is one of the best places and the best treatment. I’ve had two hernias, one on the left and one on the right, and, usually, once you’ve had them done, that’s it. Unfortunately, that has not been the case for me. I’ve got another problem and it looks like I’ve got one in my stomach and one in my groin. They are both on the left side so, hopefully, they won’t be too bad. It’s a massive disappointment and another pre-season curse for me. But it’s something I’ve just got to deal with and make sure I get back as soon as possible".
