Speaking after the match, Rovers manager, Dean Saunders, was quoted as saying: "I thought we played really well and it's a goalkeeping error for the goal. It was a blatant penalty on David Syers, he's just about to put the ball in the net and the defender's pushed him in the back. It's a blatant penalty - I've seen it again. And then the ball comes out to (Iain) Hume and I though he was going to score. But overall I thought we looked really good at times".
