Defensive problems mount for Howe

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has injury concerns for Walsall's visit to Dean Court. Howe has a shortage of defenders as Ryan Garry, Shaun Cooper and Marvin Bartley are all struggling with injuries. Garry is the most likely of the three to feature despite suffering a medial ligament strain, while Cooper is doubtful with a calf injury. Bartley was forced off in the FA Cup win over Tranmere with a groin problem, although the extent of the damage has yet to be determined. Warren Cummings is likely to continue in defence if the trio fail to recover in time. Lee Bradbury is likely to be available after missing the Tranmere game with a badly-cut finger and Michael Symes has returned to training following a shoulder problem and could make the squad. Stephen Purches and Harry Arter both staked their claims for first-team places after playing 90 minutes for the reserves in midweek.
