Defensive poser for Howe

08 October 2010 10:30
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has a defensive decision to make ahead of his side's televised clash at League One leaders Brighton. Right-back Adam Smith was dismissed in last week's defeat at Southampton and must serve a one-match ban. Smith's absence leaves Howe choosing between Stephen Purches, who is back in the frame after back spasms, or veteran Lee Bradbury. Harry Arter has returned to light training after a groin injury but the game will come too soon for him, while Tim Stephenson is back in training after knee trouble, but again he will not feature at the Withdean. Mark Molesley (foot) and Steve Lovell (ankle) remain long-term absentees. The Cherries travel along the south coast in third position, but will be searching for an improvement in their away form having suffered three defeats on the road already this term.
