AFC Bournemouth are hoping to have cleared their remaining debt by October 2010. When the current board took over the Club, the inherited a massive debt mountain, which stood at £1.7 million, which had been reduced to £850k in Spring 2010. Now that figure stands at £300k, which Eddie Mitchell is hoping to have cleared in the next 3 months. Mitchell is quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo as saying: "We are getting very near to the end of the debt. We've gone from a considerable amount down to £300,000. I think by October we'd like to think that we would be debt free".
