Coventry City Reaction - Cherries I

27 February 2013 22:02
Here's the post match reaction from Eddie Howe after the Cherries suffered their third defeat on the bounce.

Manager Eddie Howe has issued a cry of "KEEP THE FAITH" as the Cherries endure their worse wobble in form since Eddie & Jason returned to Dean Court back on October.

Speaking on the Clubs Official Web Site, Howe is quoted as saying: "We are disappointed to lose three on the spin. We are going through one of those spells at the moment where we are finding winning difficult. When we were winning, we were finding ways to do that, we had luck and the rub of the green. The times when you need a bit of fortune are at the moment are going against us. That’s football, its swings and roundabouts, peaks and troughs and our fortune will change. We have to live with it, be strong and face it full on. From my personal experience, I will look at that run and other runs I’ve had. It’s a tough game and a game that will surprise you. If you had told me that we wouldn’t score for three games, I wouldn’t have believed you because we have been free scoring. We have the character to bounce back that’s for sure. I don’t doubt that for one minute because we have good players and a good changing room. Against Coventry, for the majority of the game I was really pleased. We created good chances. Our effort, determination and tempo was very good. If we had won the game by a few goals, we would have said that it was one our best performances of the season. It is so important now that everyone keeps their belief. Not just myself and the players, but everyone around the club. We need as many people with us as possible. We have more tough games coming up and we have a lot of positives to take in to them from the performance and that is pleasing. The simple thing now is that we have to bounce back".
