Since the arrival of Ian Harte has given fresh impetus to Charlie Daniels to keep his place in Eddie Howe's starting line up.
On the competition for left back, Daniels is quoted as saying in the Bournemouth Evening Echo: "Ian is a great person to have around, not just in my position but for the whole club. He knows how to win games and, even when he is on the bench, he is always doing his bit to gee up the lads. As we play the same position, we chat about the different players we are due to come up against and, if he can help in any way then I am always grateful. He is a vastly experienced player and has spent much of his career at the top level. Any advice he gives, I will definitely take on board. If you are fortunate to be playing in front of someone like Ian Harte, who has done almost everything in the game, it does spur you on. You can’t fail to learn from experienced players and he has certainly helped me since he has been here".
