Cherries With Tough Start

The new seasons fixtures are out and have given the Cherries a tough start to life in League One. With the calibre of side in League One this time round, we all knew it was going to be a tough season for the Cherries, but now the fixtures are out, we now know it's going to be a challenging start to the new season. First up for the Cherries is a trip to Charlton Athletic on August 7th. The Addicks missed out in the play-offs last season, and will be one of the favourites for promotion this time round. This is followed 3 days later with a Carling Cup trip to St Mary's to face Southampton. The Cherries first home match is against relegated Peterborough United on August 14th. The matches everyone connected with AFC Bournemouth are eagerly anticipating see the Cherries make a return trip to St Mary's on October 2nd, with the return match at Dean Court on March 12th. Sheffield Wednesday host the Cherries on October 23rd, with the Owls making the trip to Dorset on January 8th (subject to FA Cup involvement).
