Cherries With A Point To Prove
AFC Bournemouth have a point to prove as they continue to deny the odds and the so-called expert pundits as they continue to push for promotion. With AFC Bournemouth sitting pretty in an automatic promotion place Steve Fletcher has responded to detractors being quoted in the Bournemouth Evening Echo web site as saying: "All I keep hearing is people from higher up, other managers or ex-managers, whether it be on television or radio, saying ‘Bournemouth are overachieving’ and ‘the Bournemouth bubble will burst’. Let everybody say that we’re not going to be up there and that our bubble will burst because we don’t think it will and our history over the past two years doesn’t suggest it will. It is because we are not one of the big teams like your Southamptons, Sheffield Wednesdays and Charltons. At this present time, I suppose we are not classed among those teams. But we have got a fantastic squad of players and I wouldn’t swap any of our players for anybody else, and neither would Lee".
